The Peace Signs book project was initiated in response to the tremendous global backlash to the U.S. led war in Iraq. On February 15, 2003, the world rose up in one collective voice and shouted their opposition to war. Over 600 cities in seven continents participated in the February 15th demonstrations, an unprecedented preemptive revolt against a preemptive war. In cities around the world the millions of people that protested carried with them not only their voices and opinions, but also posters that graphically represented their outrage.

Peace Signs is the ultimate collection of posters and graphics from the formation of the anti-war movement of this time. The works collected in this book were created to stop a war before it had started. It gives a testament to those brave enough to voice their opposition.

I was very fortunate to be invited to work on this project along with Nicholas Lampert and the editors in Spain, Jim Mann the project's founder, and Nadxieli Mannello. The book has been published in a Spanish language version by Gustavo Gili, and in an English, French, and German language version by Edition Olms.
